We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our Payments team at Google. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that enable seamless and secure payments.

Responsibilities
  • Write high-quality product or system development code.
  • Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on the best technologies for the project.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Contribute to existing documentation and adapt content based on product updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

The Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. We're responsible for powering the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end and front-end technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
