Job SummaryThe primary purpose of this job is to ensure effective and profitable operations of the meat department through sales maximization and team member growth. You'll be responsible for receiving deliveries, breaking down loads, and rotating the cooler. You'll also weigh, price, and label products, stock cases, prepare valued-added products, and provide exemplary customer service.

- Product knowledge and suggestive selling.
- Product ordering and inventory control.
- Responsible for writing schedules, managing and training team members, and encouraging positive team member morale.
- Responsible for sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets.
- Reconcile invoices.
- Execute weekly merchandising plans.
- Responsible for department walks and staff meetings.
- Responsible for sanitation and food safety.
- Responsible for quality assurance.
- Process cuts for service counter or special orders.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
- Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
- Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment.
- Serve Safe Certification.
- Basic computer skills.
- Minimally 1-year relevant work experience.
