Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Standing Rock Community School. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the school's mission to provide a high-quality education to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Instructional Programs

Develop and implement culturally-appropriate learning activities that meet the developmental capabilities of our students and align with the school's vision, philosophy, and student outcomes.

Foster a Supportive Learning Environment

Establish a classroom climate that promotes a safe and supportive learning environment, encouraging student development and accomplishment in academic, emotional, social, cultural, creative, and other areas of holistic development.

Assess Student Performance

Develop and implement appropriate performance-based assessment methods to evaluate student progress and development, maintaining accurate records of student accomplishments and needs.

Communicate with Parents and Staff

Provide regular communication with parents and staff regarding student progress, needs, and accomplishments, ensuring a collaborative approach to student education.

Advocate for Students

Function as an advocate for students, communicating with administrative and other staff, parents, and community members to ensure student rights and responsibilities are respected.

Stay Current with Educational Trends

Stay up-to-date with relevant technology and educational trends to support and differentiate instruction, ensuring our students receive a high-quality education.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of three years of experience as an Elementary Teacher.

License

Valid North Dakota Teaching License.

Skills

Effective learning styles and strategies, performance-based assessment, instructional methods, communication, and technology skills.
