Overview: US Oncology, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a full-time capacity. This role operates Monday through Friday, with standard hours from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance with no weekend or holiday shifts.

Responsibilities: Under minimal supervision, the Registered Nurse will:

  • Deliver professional nursing care to patients, adhering to national and organizational standards.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of physiological, psychological, and developmental variations across patient demographics.
  • Support the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care to ensure continuity and quality.

Patient Care: The RN will:

  • Assess patient and family needs, providing educational resources and instructional materials.
  • Administer therapies under physician supervision, ensuring all pre-authorizations and consent forms are secured.
  • Maintain precise documentation of patient care and treatments.
  • Utilize knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN state license in the practicing state.
  • Open to candidates at entry, mid, or senior levels.
  • Ability to accommodate individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment: The role may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and other conditions typical of an oncology/hematology clinic.
