Forklift Inventory Specialist

Distribution Center

Compensation: Starting at $22.89/hour (includes a $1.00 evening shift premium)

  • Additionally, monthly performance bonuses available
Work Schedule:
  • Sunday to Thursday work week, with Fridays and Saturdays off
  • Evening Shift - 5:30pm until completion

At Gordon Food Service, we take pride in providing seamless order processing and delivery to our clients, and our warehouse personnel are the backbone of our success. As a Forklift Inventory Specialist, you will assist our team by operating a forklift to organize products in designated areas and replenish selection slots. Your responsibilities will also include removing empty pallets from selection areas, placing incoming freight in reserve or picking slots, and supporting the Selection and Shipping departments with pallet picks and take-outs. Expect to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F) within the distribution center. No prior experience is necessary - we will provide training to ensure you succeed in your role.

Are you a good fit?
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 2+ years of experience operating a forklift or lift required.
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are crucial for our customers.
  • Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is essential.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to interpret labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
  • Must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
