Special Education Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to students with disabilities, ensuring they receive a tailored learning experience that meets their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans: Create and implement personalized education plans for students with disabilities, taking into account their unique learning styles and abilities.
  • Provide Direct Instruction: Deliver specialized instruction in various academic subjects to students with disabilities, using evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with General Education Teachers: Work closely with general education teachers to modify curriculum and instructional strategies, ensuring a seamless and inclusive learning experience for all students.
  • Assess Student Progress: Regularly assess student progress using data and adjust instruction accordingly, ensuring students meet their learning goals.
  • Communicate with Parents/Guardians: Maintain open and regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, keeping them informed of their child's learning journey.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal development and ensuring student needs are met.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Special Education or Related Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Massachusetts State Special Education Teacher Licensure: Possess a valid license as a Special Education Teacher in Massachusetts.
  • Certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education: Hold certification meeting state requirements.
  • Knowledge of Special Education Laws: Have a strong understanding of special education laws, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
