Overview
This foundational role is integral to the Manufacturing Team, which is dedicated to the production of safe, effective, and sterile pharmaceuticals in alignment with company standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The Manufacturing Team is committed to maintaining aseptic and sanitary conditions as necessary, ensuring that all manufacturing area and equipment documentation is organized and precise, and demonstrating safe, effective, and professional conduct consistently. Collaborating with Production Management, the Manufacturing Team contributes valuable insights and support to various departments, playing a crucial role in upholding production timelines and achieving organizational objectives. Team members will engage in all facets of the Manufacturing Process, which encompasses the semi-automatic loading of glass vials, caps, and seals into production machinery, as well as the unloading of completed products and the setup/cleanup of manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Management retains the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- Collects, organizes, and returns production materials to facilitate manufacturing operations.
- Assists colleagues with the assembly, cleaning, and storage of equipment as needed to support production.
- Ensures the cleanliness of manufacturing equipment and work areas to uphold production standards.
- Operates various stations involved in container washing, filling, stoppering, and capping, and assists in offloading finished products.
- Participates in all required training programs as outlined by company SOPs, policies, and procedures.
- Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Embraces and promotes a culture of quality.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred; some college or technical training is advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, troubleshoot, and conduct minor repairs on manufacturing equipment is essential.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while monitoring equipment and processes.
- Proficient in reading documents in Standard English, including SOPs, maintenance schedules, and operating manuals.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
- Must be capable of wearing cleanroom/protective attire and equipment, including gowns, goggles, face shields, respirators, and gloves. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and respirators are critical for employee health and safety.
- Employees must maintain a clean-shaven appearance during shifts to ensure proper fit of tight-fitting respirators.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is required.
- Must be physically able to work with isolation containment devices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods is necessary.
- Must meet and maintain cleanroom gowning requirements.
- Must meet and maintain respirator fit-testing requirements.
