About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Hims & Hers Health, Inc. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless transition of orders through our pharmacy, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, and adhering to strict infection-control policies and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a daily workflow plan for the technician team to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are completed.
  • Develop and implement evening/weekend workflow documents to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in the preparation of a Pharmacy Technician schedule in coordination with the Lead Workflow Technician and Lead Clinical Pharmacist.
  • Delegate tasks, workflow items, and station assignments to the Pharmacy Technician team members.
  • Lead team efforts by accomplishing related results and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Train additional pharmacy technicians on the role and responsibilities unique to alternative shift technicians.
  • Practice all state and federal pharmacy regulations for the ordering, handling, and management of prescriptions and/or prescription drug products.
  • Maintain all security and privacy rules regarding the use and handling of protected health information (PHI) in compliance with federal and state HIPAA regulations.
  • Update and maintain patient profile records as necessary according to state pharmacy regulations.
  • Review biweekly pharmacy huddle updates for new information and drive quality efforts by adhering to standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • 18+ years of age, high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Active registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio and National Certification (CPhT).
  • Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
  • Ability to work flexible shift times and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and promote company culture.
  • Proficiency in English, verbal and written, and proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.

Conditions of Employment
  • This position requires working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the length of working with these drugs.
  • This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators.
  • Physical exertion required, including walking, standing, squatting, and lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD), associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks.
