Clerical Support Coordinator

**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled Library Assistant II to join our team at the City of San Diego, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our community members.
**Responsibilities**
- Answer routine questions regarding library collections, facilities, policies, and procedures.
- Register new library cards and resolve account issues.
- Request materials from other libraries and manage interlibrary loan processes.
- Conduct patron training on electronic technologies and assist with the use of automated library catalog systems, public computers, photocopiers, and self-checkout equipment.
- Order supplies, process mail, receive and process new materials, complete daily cash register reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of full-time clerical and/or customer service experience, and basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. A valid California Class C Driver License may be required at the time of hire. You must also possess a strong understanding of library operations and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Salary and Benefits**
The salary range for this position is $45,968.00 - $55,619.20 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
