FACETS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development and Communications to lead our fundraising and external relations efforts. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support our mission to eradicate the effects of poverty and homelessness in Fairfax County.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to achieve annual goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and foundation funders
  • Lead the development team to achieve fundraising goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with the executive director and board of directors to ensure alignment and support for fundraising efforts
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to promote FACETS' mission and programs

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and communications
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining a donor base and achieving fundraising goals
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in managing staff and leading a team
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
