Key Responsibilities

The Membership and Community Relations Manager will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with existing chamber members, while also attracting new businesses to join the organization. This role requires a professional representative who can effectively communicate the benefits of membership to potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategies to retain existing members and attract new ones, including personalized outreach and education on membership levels and benefits.

2. Coordinate ribbon cuttings and grand openings for new members, and assist in the creation of engaging content for social media platforms.

3. Assist in the onboarding process for new members, including the assembly and delivery of welcome packets.

4. Monitor and collect payments from overdue members, utilizing a combination of in-person delivery, phone calls, and email communication.

5. Serve as a spokesperson and representative for the Chamber/CVB, attending events and meetings across the region to promote the organization's mission and goals.

6. Organize and present at quarterly VIP luncheons for new members, highlighting the benefits and opportunities associated with membership.

7. Prepare and present a monthly membership investment report to the Chamber Board of Directors, utilizing PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate key data.

8. Collaborate with the Membership Experience Manager to ensure that membership benefits are being fulfilled for all chamber members.

9. Communicate the Chamber/CVB's mission and goals to members and non-members, highlighting the organization's commitment to growing the local economy and advocating for businesses.

10. Develop and manage volunteer programs, including ambassador and diplomat initiatives.

11. Complete and manage monthly expense and mileage reports, ensuring accurate and timely submission.

12. Demonstrate a commitment to the Chamber's Strategic Plan in all work areas, aligning actions and decisions with the organization's overall mission and goals.

13. Assist in securing sponsorships for events and programs, leveraging digital advertising opportunities to promote the organization's mission and goals.

14. Connect members and non-members with employment and networking opportunities, fostering a sense of community and collaboration within the region.

15. Assist the events team in setting up and tearing down for community events, including annual luncheons, Good Morning Branson, and Business After Hours.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years' experience in direct sales is required.
  • Strong customer service experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, education, and training may be considered as a degree substitute.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Branson/Lakes Area is necessary.
