We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at SumBridge. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of payroll, maintaining employee records, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Verify employee timecards and reconcile them for transmission to payroll.
  2. Prepare real estate commission sheets for approval and process payroll entries.
  3. Collect and review miscellaneous payroll payments, including wellness reimbursements and annuity commissions.
  4. Accurately input payroll data, verifying and reconciling amounts prior to submission.
  5. Reconcile ACH files to Direct Deposit Registers and load them onto electronic banking systems.
  6. Generate and reconcile general ledger entries, loading them onto Horizon for posting.
  7. Run post-payroll reports for payroll binders.
  8. Reconcile 401(k) export files and load them onto administrator platforms.
  9. Review suspense accounts and DDA to ensure clearance by month-end.
  10. Process stock awards through payroll as needed.
  11. Enter and process SERP payments and monthly unit plan payments.
  12. Monitor taxable fringe benefits to ensure proper reporting on W-2 forms.
  13. Enter and respond to garnishments, tax levies, and other payroll-related items.
  14. Research and respond to inquiries from management and staff in a timely and courteous manner.
  15. Assist with recruiting functions, such as postings, employment ads, interviews, and job fairs.
  16. Maintain pre-employment assessment and screening processes.
  17. Respond to questions and requests for assistance from staff and management, building team and personal relationships.
  18. Serve as backup to Sr. HR Generalist and Human Resources Manager.
  19. Ensure HRIS systems are utilized to potential, updating and developing as necessary.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of professional work experience, with banking experience preferred.
  • An AA or BA in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Preferably three to five years of previous payroll processing experience.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including demonstrated experience using Word and Excel for Windows.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Initiative and leadership abilities.
  • Must have proven team-building skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
