Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a GIRMC Customer Care Assistant. This role is responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring safety and satisfaction, and serving as a resource for internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcomes guests and determines individual needs, responding appropriately.
  • Assesses guest needs and responds accordingly, resolving crisis situations and initiating incident reports as needed.
  • Coordinates escort/transport needs, operates wheelchairs, and follows emergency procedures.
  • Serves as a resource for internal/external customers, creating an environment that fosters outstanding customer service.
  • Performs other Customer Care Program-related duties, including order supplies, update directories, and participates in meetings and committees.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer service or medical environment requiring frequent public contact.
  • Knowledge of customer service philosophies and practices, medical center facilities and services, and the Grand Island community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, assess and follow through with communication needs, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, analyze problems, and implement effective work resolutions.
Physical Requirements

This role is characterized as medium work, requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
