Job Summary:

• Develops and implements effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Monitors and records student progress, providing regular feedback and support
• Collaborates with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessments
• Participates in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices

Requirements:

• Must possess required certification or license and skill in Clinical Medical Assistant
• Five years of experience in the field is preferred
• Must be knowledgeable of OSHA and various effective teaching techniques for all levels of basic adult skills and testing preparation
• Ability to maintain and establish work schedule for evening/night courses
• Must be sensitive to student population, flexible, and able to follow policies and procedures
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have effective organizational and planning skills
• Must be knowledgeable of creative, innovative, non-traditional teaching strategies that have proven successful with students from diverse backgrounds and performing at different academic levels
• Some computer skills with Microsoft Word, Internet, and Intranet access are required

Working Conditions:

Performs professional work providing teaching and/or training services to students in a specialized subject. Work requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, and light lifting up to 10 pounds. Effective verbal and written communication skills for expressing or exchanging ideas, hearing to perceive information at a normal spoken word level, and visual acuity for preparing and analyzing written or computer data.
