Strategic Business Development Director

Franklin Companies, a leading real estate developer, property manager, and construction specialist in the multifamily and senior housing industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to drive business growth and development through strategic partnerships, relationship-building, and market analysis.

This role will be responsible for cultivating relationships with developers, brokers, REITs, private equity firms, and other ownership structures in the industry, identifying potential third-party management opportunities, and staying up-to-date on market conditions in our target markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Franklin Companies to contacts within the multifamily and senior housing community, identifying potential third-party management opportunities.
  • Cultivate relationships with developers, brokers, REITs, private equity firms, and other ownership structures in the industry.
  • Develop new relationships and expand existing ones with housing authorities, housing finance agencies, and other government entities relating to affordable housing in our target markets.
  • Stay up-to-date on market conditions in our target markets and communicate regularly with brokers and owners of multifamily real estate to identify potential management opportunities.
  • Travel to site visits, tours of competitive properties, and other business development activities.
Requirements:
  • Three or more years of progressive experience in multifamily real estate third-party management and third-party senior housing management.
  • Experience working with conventional multifamily and senior housing owners/developers, as well as housing authorities and non-profits.
  • Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in real estate or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders.
