Position: Healthcare Administrative Coordinator

Role Summary: You will serve as an Administrative Coordinator with a background in healthcare environments, contributing to the efficiency of patient services.

Compensation: $26.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out.
  • Welcome patients and address initial inquiries regarding their appointments, payments, and schedules.
  • Handle multi-line phone systems, directing calls and taking messages for healthcare staff and providers. Ensure necessary verifications and authorizations are completed prior to patient consultations.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers on scheduling preferences and respond to urgent patient needs.
  • Support doctor-patient interactions using available reference materials and tools.
  • Perform various administrative duties, such as maintaining databases and processing internal documentation.
  • Utilize telephone systems and electronic medical records effectively in daily tasks.
  • Meet or exceed service standards set by the organization and department.
  • Respond to non-clinical inquiries and messages, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Manage incoming faxes, mail, and filing of relevant documentation.
  • Facilitate timely patient care and treatment, applying critical thinking and sound judgment, especially in complex or urgent situations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
  • Entry-level candidates, including recent graduates, are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to the role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service abilities, problem-solving skills, and capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of Windows-based office applications and operating systems.
  • Ability to tailor communication to meet the needs of various audiences.
  • Composure in high-pressure situations.
