Job Summary

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing home and community-based services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client's developmental status and provide direct speech therapy services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
  • Individualized Service Planning: Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with responsibility for identifying goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child's development.
  • Documentation and Communication: Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate, and maintain effective communication with families, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Family Support and Advocacy: Provide supportive professional assistance to families, facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development, and assist families to act as advocates for their child.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Current Massachusetts licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or CF eligible.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development, ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners, and commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field and relevant experience working with pediatric populations.
