Job Title: CVOR Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Technologist to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services.

Job Summary:

The CVOR Technologist will be responsible for assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, including passing instruments and supplies
  • Maintain a sterile environment and ensure the proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the successful completion of procedures
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and technologies
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or LPN or on-the-job training with two years scrub experience in an OR setting
  • Surgical Technologist certification preferred
  • American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification at HCP Level required
