We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Technologist to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a CVOR Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

• Prepare procedure preference lists and select and arrange supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons by performing supervised duties, including passing instruments, sponges, sutures, catheters, drains, and dressings.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts as specified by policy/procedure.
• Assume care of specimens until turned over to a Registered Nurse.
• Pass off pump lines and suction coronary arteries while surgeons perform bypass surgery.

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or LPN or on-the-job training with two years scrub experience in an OR setting.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification at HCP Level required.
• Eight to twelve months of orientation/training depending on experience.
