Position Overview

The Aircraft Compliance division plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational safety and airworthiness of JetBlue's fleet. The Analyst of Aircraft Compliance collaborates with the Supervisor to oversee Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) system adherence, aircraft handovers, investigations, and management of life-limited assets, acting as a key intermediary between JetBlue and essential airline parts suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain inventories for new aircraft and significant aircraft assemblies within JetBlue's systems.
  • Collect, assess, and interpret data related to maintenance activities on engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and landing gear.
  • Oversee the tracking of aircraft and associated components' operational time (hours/cycles) in TRAX as necessary.
  • Produce reports and evaluate aircraft flight durations (hours/cycles) through the Sabre/TRAX interface as required.
  • Administer electronic records and back-to-birth documentation for life-limited components as needed.
  • Ensure the accuracy of electronic and technical documentation for aircraft and life-limited components.
  • Support the Supervisor of Aircraft Compliance in investigations as required.
  • Detect patterns and trends to enhance current team functions.
  • Leverage knowledge of parts and sub-assemblies to effectively troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Receiving Inspection or a related field.
  • Familiarity with aircraft manuals and fundamental technical aircraft systems.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
  • Depending on location, may require obtaining and maintaining United States Customs Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel overnight occasionally (25%).
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the country of the position is required.
  • Authorization to work in the US is necessary; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Maintenance Management.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Aircraft Compliance or a similar role.
  • Proficient understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Experience in Airline Material Operations.
  • Familiarity with aircraft terminology and comprehension of technical 14 CFR 121 operations.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, Air Transportation Associations (ATA), Airworthiness Directives, and Technical Directives.
  • Familiarity with Airline M&E Systems such as TRAX.

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, and availability to respond on short notice.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, assist with light cleaning of the aircraft if time allows.
  • Align with JetBlue's organizational culture, embodying the values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun.
  • Act as a Safety Ambassador, promoting JetBlue's #1 value of safety and supporting the Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards.
  • Identify and report safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards using JetBlue's confidential reporting systems.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.), and company policies, procedures, and risk controls.
  • Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metrics and understand their relevance to job responsibilities.

  • Traditional office setting.
  • Airport environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate physical activity required, including handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.

Compensation Overview

  • The base salary range for this position is between $50,000.00 and $89,600.00 annually. This base salary is one aspect of JetBlue's comprehensive compensation package, which may also include healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and complimentary travel on JetBlue.
