Position Overview

The Aircraft Compliance division plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational safety of JetBlue's fleet by monitoring and auditing the maintenance activities conducted on essential aircraft components, including engines, landing gear, and Auxiliary Power Units (APUs). The Analyst, Aircraft Compliance collaborates with the Supervisor to ensure adherence to Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) system regulations, oversee aircraft deliveries, conduct investigations, and manage life-limited asset documentation while acting as a liaison between JetBlue and key airline parts suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain inventories of newly acquired aircraft and significant aircraft assemblies within JetBlue's systems.
  • Collect, assess, and interpret data regarding maintenance performed on engines, APUs, and landing gear.
  • Oversee the tracking of aircraft and related components' operational time (hours/cycles) in TRAX as necessary.
  • Produce reports and evaluate aircraft flight durations (hours/cycles) using the Sabre/TRAX interface as required.
  • Administer electronic records for life-limited components and maintain comprehensive back-to-birth documentation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of electronic and technical documentation for aircraft and life-limited components.
  • Support the Supervisor of Aircraft Compliance in investigations as needed.
  • Recognize patterns and trends to enhance the current responsibilities of the team.
  • Utilize expertise in parts and sub-assemblies to effectively troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Receiving Inspection or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of aircraft manuals and fundamental technical aircraft systems.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that complies with JetBlue Airways' insurance requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
  • Depending on location, may be required to obtain and maintain United States Customs Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 25%).
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
  • Authorization to work in the US is mandatory; this position does not qualify for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Maintenance Management.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Aircraft Compliance or a comparable role.
  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Experience in Airline Material Operations.
  • Understanding of aircraft terminology and technical operations as per 14 CFR 121.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, Air Transportation Associations (ATA), Airworthiness Directives, and Technical Directives.
  • Experience with Airline M&E Systems such as TRAX.

  • Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, with the ability to respond on short notice.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, assist with light cleaning of the aircraft when time permits.

  • Act as a Safety Ambassador by promoting JetBlue's #1 value of safety and supporting the Safety Management System (SMS) components and policies.
  • Identify and report safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards through appropriate channels.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.), and company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and uphold JetBlue's safety performance metrics and how they relate to individual responsibilities.

  • Standard office setting.
  • Airport environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate physical activity required, including handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position is between $50,000.00 and $89,600.00 annually. This base salary is one aspect of JetBlue's comprehensive compensation package, which may also include healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with company matching, stock purchase options, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and complimentary travel opportunities on JetBlue.
