Job Overview

Delphi Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee and coordinate various construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction management principles and be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Serve as primary liaison to clients, architects, and engineers, and collaborate with them to discuss and resolve problems.
  • Team Building: Provide whole team supervision in partnership with Construction Superintendent, and enforce compliance with corporate and project policies.
  • Pre-Construction Planning: Lead initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and other involved parties, and develop detailed descriptions of jobs and materials necessary to complete projects.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee contract negotiations, revisions, and additions, and ensure adherence by all parties.
  • Schedule Management: Schedule and coordinate projects in logical steps, and budget the time necessary to meet each deadline.
  • Cost Management: Prepare and submit budget, and regularly communicate with clients concerning budget progress and costs.
  • Controls and Reporting Management: Establish and direct administration of project control, documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Close-out and Warranty Management: Direct administration of the close-out process, procure final payment, and assure zero claims.
  • Meeting Management and Participation: Lead owner meetings, and participate in all other project meetings as a leader, facilitator, mediator, or key contributor.
  • Field Management Support: Manage and lead actions necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites, and ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering required.
  • At least five years of construction experience required.
  • OSHA 10 and 30 required.
