Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Physician Assistant Studies

Job Summary:

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team in the Physician Assistant Studies program. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a critical role in providing academic instruction, counseling, and mentoring to our Physician Assistant students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in clinical site visits and development within the Phoenix metro area, with the possibility of rural Arizona sites
  • Evaluate student on-site performance and clinical site
  • Proctor clinical year student practical exams as needed
  • Provide academic instruction, counseling, and mentoring to Physician Assistant students
  • Participate in on-campus lab courses, including Clinical Skills and History & Physical Exam
  • Provide instruction on a variety of clinical skills covered throughout the didactic year
  • Evaluate student performance in various classroom modalities based on participation, performance in class, assignments, quizzes, and examinations
  • Report student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyze student data
  • Collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum
  • Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets department and college standards when applicable
  • Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments as assigned
  • Assist in program development including curricular implementation and the admissions process
  • Stay updated on innovations and changes within the course and/or Physician Assistant field
  • Actively participate in developing and carrying out the mission and vision of the department, college, and university

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (or equivalent) required
  • Current and valid National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification required
  • Two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Teaching experience helpful but not required
  • Proficiency in Google G Suite preferred
