About the Role:
Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our 5400 Oncology Unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of our caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with cancer, implementing and evaluating patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Monitor, record, and document patients' conditions, communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, adhering to physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, educating patients and their families to ensure a smooth transition.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience; military RN experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
