Physician Assistant I Hematology Oncology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Hematology and Oncology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Work collaboratively with physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients with hematological and oncological conditions.
- Perform routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, and wound care, as well as specialized procedures like bone marrow aspirations and biopsies.
- Prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by prescriptive authority.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their disease, treatments, and related health topics.
- Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with nursing and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists as appropriate and ensure continuity of care.
- Graduate of an accredited APRN program or a Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in applicable state(s).
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required based on work setting.
- Must have arrangements with at least one physician in accordance with requirements set forth by the State Board of Nursing in applicable states.
This position will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
