Nurse Practitioner

Cleveland Clinic Akron General's Department of Hematology & Oncology is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. This full-time position covers inpatient and outpatient Hematology and Oncology patients, providing comprehensive care and education to patients and families.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and initiate lab and radiology tests as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive health measures.
- Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with nursing and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed and ensure continuity of care.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in applicable state(s).
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited organization.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required based on work setting.
This position is based in Akron, Ohio, and requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
