About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Therapist Specialist to join our team at Axesspointe Community Health Center.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with substance abuse.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive therapy and case management services to clients in need of AOD treatment services.

  • Provide substance abuse counseling services to residential clients, adhering to program-specific requirements.
  • Offer substance abuse-related case management as defined by State of Ohio regulations.
  • Perform a range of services, including assessment, treatment planning, long-term counseling, psycho-education, case management, advocacy, and follow-up.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, provide diagnostic formulations, and develop treatment plans for AoD clients, following licensure standards.
  • Determine client appropriateness for services using DSM-V/ICD-10 criteria for substance abuse and/or dependence.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A valid license to practice as a therapist in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience working with clients with substance abuse issues, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain accurate records and reports, meeting all relevant documentation guidelines.
Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
