About the Role:

University Hospitals Health System seeks a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting physical therapy programs to facilitate the rehabilitation of individuals with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating patients to develop effective treatment plans tailored to their rehabilitation needs within the care continuum
  • Performing treatment techniques in a competent manner, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Providing education to patients, families, and caregivers on applicable health information, treatment, and prevention strategies
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to initiate and participate in discharge planning processes
  • Conducting documentation, billing, and supporting department operations as required

Requirements:

  • Aptitude for performing thorough evaluations and developing comprehensive treatment plans
  • Strong communication skills to educate patients, families, and caregivers effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance protocols
