About the Role

Visa is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Management Leader to join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. As a Senior Risk Management Leader, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that may impact Visa's objectives and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Organizational KRI Effectiveness Reviews: Drive stronger quantitative measures across global and regional business areas, working with respective 2nd line risk teams.
  • Digitization and Automation Efforts: Manage enhancements to and drive the adoption of Visa's GRC platform housing Enterprise Risks and KRIs, across the 1st and 2nd line teams.
  • Manage External Contractual Staff: Responsible for managing external contractual staff to support various team activities.
  • Perform Risk Business Partner Role: Execute against critical projects & risk assessments (Strategic Initiatives, country/regional risk assessments, and functional risk deep dives), including:
    • Training on Foundational Risk Concepts
    • Liaising with Key Stakeholders
    • Facilitating Risk Management Workshops
    • Identifying Key Points from Complex Topics
    • Ensuring Completion of Identified Risk Mitigation Strategies
  • Prepare Reports and Updates: Prepare reports, memos, and updates to Senior Management and Governance Committees.
  • Maintain Global Inventory of Risks: Maintain global inventory of risks, mitigating action plans, and controls, across the organization to proactively identify adverse trends.
  • Support Reporting System Development: Support the development of a full reporting system solution to provide real-time visibility into regional, functional, and strategic initiative risk assessments.
  • Prepare Regulatory and Audit Responses: Prepare responses and lead action plans arising from regulatory and audit findings for specific corporate risk areas.
  • Assist in Risk Management Training: Assist in the delivery of training sessions and enhance Visa's Risk Management culture.
Requirements
  • 8+ Years of Relevant Work Experience: 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, plus the ability to work independently and effectively in a continually changing environment.
  • Clear Thinker with Strong Technical Skills: Clear thinker with strong technical and data analysis skills, plus solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven Ability to Develop Strong Relationships: Proven ability to develop strong relationships and work with all organizational levels.
  • General Understanding of Business Principles: General understanding of business, economic, and financial principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to Identify Global Risk Events: Ability to identify and understand global risk events and how they impact the enterprise.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 9+ Years of Relevant Work Experience: 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
  • Minimum Four-Year Degree: Minimum four-year degree from an accredited university. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 5+ Years of Related Experience: 5+ years related experience, with some part of that in risk management. Complementary consulting, strategy, business, or finance experience will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Practices: Knowledge, skill, and understanding in applying risk management practices specifically as it relates to ERM (assessment, scoring, tolerance, mitigation/management).
  • General Understanding of Popular Risk Management Frameworks: General understanding and application of popular risk management frameworks, including COSO.
