In this role, under the guidance of the Catering Services Operations Assistant or an Event Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing essential services related to catered events both on and off campus.

The Catering Operations Assistant will ensure service is delivered according to specific orders, assist in food preparation, perform bartending duties, and adhere to established setup and sanitation protocols.

Essential Qualifications:

*High school diploma or GED is required.
*Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, push, and pull.
*Capability to lift equipment and food supplies weighing up to 40 pounds regularly.
*Ability to stand or walk for up to 4 hours continuously.
*Dexterity to use small tools effectively and possess hand/finger/eye coordination.
*Willingness to work in environments with wet floors, temperature variations, and elevated noise levels.
*Ability to maintain a fast-paced mobility.
*Skill to visually distinguish colors for food safety purposes.
*Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
*Attentive listening skills for interaction with customers, supervisors, and colleagues.
*Availability to work evenings and weekends.
*Flexibility to adjust schedule for food service events.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not all candidates may meet every preferred qualification, the ideal applicant will ideally possess many of the following:

*ServSafe certification.
*Experience in fine dining or catering environments.
*Valid driver's license with a clean driving record as per University standards.
*Ability to operate catering transport vehicles.
*Proven experience in customer service.
*Experience working with a diverse student body and multicultural staff.
