Cost Control Manager

Who are you?
You are a seasoned construction professional with at least 3 years of post-graduate experience in cost management, specifically within large-scale commercial office or related fit-out projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction process.
- Oversee multiple projects at various stages of development.
- Provide detailed cost planning, including the creation and presentation of final cost plans.
- Collaborate with design teams and contractors to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Reconcile changes and assist contractors in ensuring data accuracy.
- Engage with contractors and project managers to gather status updates for cost estimate revisions.
- Prepare comprehensive feedback on contractor submissions, including executive summaries.
- Coordinate cost information from various sources for discussions and supplier interactions.
- Drive engineering priorities based on cost implications.
- Work independently to resolve scheduling challenges.
- Conduct cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and precise processes.
- Effectively manage post-contract cost variances and change control procedures.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in cost management or quantity surveying within commercial corporate interiors or related construction projects.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Strong technical expertise in all areas of cost management, including planning, estimating, and KPI management.
• Experience in both US and international cost management is advantageous.
• Proficiency in collaborative software such as CostX and advanced spreadsheet skills are essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite is required.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills are a must.
• A genuine passion for construction and financial management.
