About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled Risk Management Leaders to join our team at American Express Company. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing business strategies and risk management solutions that leverage commercial or consumer bureau data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and patterns that inform risk management decisions.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for business leaders, using statistical, financial, machine learning, or business intelligence techniques.
  • Collaborate with technology and other groups to integrate and implement risk management policies and business strategies.
  • Identify and evaluate new data sources that could add incremental profitability to our products and services.
  • Utilize industry and internal best practices, as well as regulatory feedback, to drive continuous improvement in risk management methodologies and frameworks.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in risk and data analysis, with a strong background in risk management, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience working with technical, analytical, business, and non-technical teams, as well as cost-benefit analysis and business process improvement strategies.
  • Project management experience, driving business transformation and reengineering strategies, using MS Excel data reporting and modeling, and machine learning tools such as PANDAS, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Selenium, and VBA.
