In the role of Financial Systems Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development, execution, and enhancement of all finance modules within Workday as part of the global financial systems team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of financial workflows, data analysis, and system architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to improve processes and implement automation strategies.
  • Provide comprehensive functional support for the Workday Financial system.
  • Oversee the complete end-to-end cycle, including requirements gathering, implementation, and testing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, configure, and test Workday solutions tailored to meet various business challenges. This includes refining business processes, creating custom validations, establishing conditional rules, and designing calculated fields.
  • Configure, test, and deploy Workday business processes.
  • Support integration testing and provide functional insights.
  • Maintain security policies and roles.
  • Proactively ensure Workday data integrity through audits and queries.
  • Deliver end-user training to promote fluency in Workday and related systems.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including requirements, specifications, process flows, and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and consultants related to financial systems.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, IT, or a related field is required. An MBA or other relevant postgraduate degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in Workday support and administration, particularly with Revenue/billing, expenses, supplier accounts, and intercompany modules.

Required Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
  • Strong technical and analytical abilities to troubleshoot consolidation and/or reporting issues; a solid understanding of system logic/processes is essential for independent problem resolution.
  • Creative thinking is necessary to recommend optimizations for processes and ensure data integrity; new business requirements must be analyzed to assess their impact on the overall systems landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple management levels; ability to produce clear, concise reports and correspondence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and proactive; capable of managing multiple tasks and adapting to shifting priorities.
