We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Employee-IMC Content Communications-Photography Assistant to join our team at Sam Houston State University. As a key member of our Integrated Marketing Communications department, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in photography and video production, while supporting the production of high-quality content for our university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shoot and edit photo and video projects: Utilize your creativity and technical skills to capture high-quality images and videos that showcase the university's events, people, and initiatives.
  • Serve as an on-set production assistant: Assist the producer in ensuring a smooth and efficient production process, from pre-production to post-production.
  • Support the producer in general pre-production tasks: Help with tasks such as location scouting, equipment setup, and scheduling.
  • Make production-related necessary runs: Carry and set up equipment as needed to support the production team.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of cameras, production, editing software (Adobe Premiere), and lighting: Demonstrate a solid understanding of the technical aspects of photography and video production.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5: Maintain a strong academic record and demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence.
  • Ability to work 20 hours a week: Be available to work a consistent schedule and meet the needs of the production team.
