We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Specialist at UNC Health Care's Pardee BlueMD location. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $38,000 - $48,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative will perform various clerical tasks, including patient registration, communicating financial obligations, and collecting fees. Additional responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, giving information to callers, reading and routing incoming mail, filing correspondence and other records, and other assigned clerical duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Patient Registration: Obtain all critical demographic and financial information and accurately input data into Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system and other applications as needed.
  2. Clerical Support: Provide general clerical support functions, including scheduling meetings, patients, and appointments; maintaining calendars; and coordinating with other clinical services.
  3. Financial Transactions: Collect and count cash receipts and daily deposits, ensuring a balanced cash drawer daily.
  4. Maintenance and Housekeeping: Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the clinic, performing routine and periodic cleaning tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Medical clerical experience in a hospital, physician practice, clinic, nursing home, or insurance agency preferred.
