Senior Controls Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls & Automation Sales Manager to join our team at Empowered Buildings. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for expanding our market presence, nurturing customer relationships, and driving sales growth for our controls and automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including mechanical contractors, engineers, and direct sales.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current customers, anticipating their needs and fostering loyalty.
- Organize and participate in customer entertainment events and networking activities to enhance our network and visibility.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, products, and technologies through regular attendance at trade shows, industry meetings, and vendor training events.
- Assess project opportunities, perform estimates, and prepare comprehensive takeoffs and proposals to secure new business.
- Develop and manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors to secure favorable pricing and ensure seamless project execution.
- Facilitate smooth project handovers to the engineering team and maintain communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the BMS or related industry.
- Previous technical and sales training from a reputable manufacturer is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of the BMS industry, including hardware, trends, and terminology.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to connect with people at all levels and maintain relationships.
- A self-starter with a keen eye for new business opportunities and innovative solutions.
- Active participation in relevant trade and social organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of energy management technologies, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage projects from inception to close while maintaining strong customer service practices.
- Previous leadership experience (within this industry preferred)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- CEM, CEA, LEED AP, PE, or another relevant industry credential is a plus.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Base Salary of $90,000 - $185,000.00 per year commensurate with experience
