We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at the Department of State Hospitals. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare patient charts, medical records, and other documents
- Conduct vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and self-care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant certification or training program completion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
