HCMS Napa LLC is seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the operations of the billing department, encompassing coding, charge entry, and claims submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist team in the operations of the billing department, including coding, charge entry, and claims submissions.
- Analyze billing and claims for accuracy and completeness, submit claims to proper insurance entities, and follow up and resolve any claim submittal issues.
- Collect and compile accurate statistical reports.
- Assist with audits to monitor and improve efficiency of billing.
- Ensure that billing operations are conducted in a manner consistent with overall department protocol and in compliance with Federal, State, and payer regulations, guidelines, and requirements.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in Medical Billing.
- Working knowledge of CPT, HCPC, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, CMS 1500 claim forms, HIPAA, and billing and insurance regulations.
- Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) skills.
- Detail-oriented and tolerant of frequent interruptions and distractions.
- Excellent mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills.
