Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at the Department of State Hospitals. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments and prepare patient and exam areas for medical appointments
  • Ensure proper equipment and supplies are present for healthcare providers
  • Perform procedures such as venipuncture, specimen collections, and dressing changes
  • Document clinical data in the medical record
  • Provide patient education on medical conditions, equipment, and follow-up care
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with treatment team members throughout the hospital
Requirements
  • Must complete the STD. 678 Employment Application in its entirety and include "Medical Assistant - JC 428722" in the "Job Title(s)" section
  • Duties Performed and Supervisor's name and Contact information must be completed on the STD 678
  • Must include a copy of a valid Medical Assistant certificate
