Job Title: Special Education Teacher Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to assist our special education teachers in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, students, and other support staff to ensure the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist special education teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and providing support to students with diverse needs.
  2. Help with classroom activities, including lesson planning, preparation, and implementation.
  3. Provide physical and emotional support to students, including assistance with daily living tasks and emotional regulation.
  4. Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  5. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in special education.
Requirements:
  1. Associate's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., education, special education, or a related field).
  2. 2 years of study (48 semester hours) at an institution of higher education.
  3. Met a rigorous standard of quality as determined by a formal assessment (e.g., ACT WorkKeys - Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Writing Subtests).
