We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff to join our team at PruittHealth. As a Direct Care Staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide supervision and training to clients as outlined in their Individual Program Plan.
- Implement the assigned clients' Active Treatment Schedule and work with clients as assigned.
- Implement behavioral procedures when maladaptive behaviors occur.
- Implement client training activities as outlined in the Individual Program Plan.
- Assist clients with maintaining their rooms in an orderly manner.
- Ensure clients are dressed appropriately for the time of day, activity, and weather.
- Accompany and train clients on planned outings as assigned.
- Attend in-service training to maintain employment and complete in-service training with demonstrated competence.
- Implement data collection procedures and protect the rights of clients.
- Follow policies and procedures regarding employee conduct and dress code.
- Report any needed supplies to the Team Leader Supervisor.
- Follow supply procedures and complete routine duties to maintain the client's living unit in a neat, clean, and sanitary condition.
- Provide written reports to the Team Leader Supervisor on client clothing needs and other special needs.
- Report any changes in the client's condition to the Team Leader Supervisor.
- Attend Interdisciplinary Team meetings and Active Treatment Reports as assigned.
- Implement health care techniques as trained, including oral hygiene and bathing.
- At least a 12th-grade education.
- On-the-job training provided.
- None required by law.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a similar position, child care work, or a health service occupation.
