Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team at Cherokee Federal. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to aircraft sheet metal repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove and replace various aircraft components and electrical systems using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Perform aviation unit (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM), and depot maintenance on aircraft structures.
  • Repair and replace aircraft structural components in accordance with technical manuals.
  • Apply fiberglass, primers, and paints to aircraft surfaces.
  • Maintain bench stock and store flammable and hazardous materials.
  • Complete forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of Aircraft Sheet Metal experience required.
  • (15G) course graduate required or A/P certification.
  • Ability to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
