We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physician-leader to serve as Director of Autopsy Pathology at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of medical education and research.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the Autopsy Service, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Teach and mentor medical students and residents in gross anatomy and pathology, with a focus on developing their clinical and research skills.
- Participate in research projects and collaborations, leveraging expertise in anatomic pathology to drive innovation and discovery.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care and education.
- MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree.
- Board eligibility or certification in anatomic pathology.
- California professional license or eligibility for licensure.
- At least one year of teaching experience.
- Two to five years of experience in a clinical or academic setting, with a focus on clinical care, teaching, and research.
- Sub-specialty focus in head and neck pathology, endocrine pathology, or other areas of anatomic pathology.
- Experience in pediatric pathology, gynecologic pathology, breast/thoracic pathology, or cytopathology.
