Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to ensure seamless care.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Apply the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to nursing practice.
  • Use the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide your response to the current and evolving health and nursing needs of our patients and our patient populations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • No experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Professional Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
