Position Title: Financial Operations Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation Range: $120,000-$135,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and skills.

Role Summary:

As a Financial Operations Supervisor, you will be instrumental in managing the daily functions of our finance department, ensuring that all financial transactions and reporting are executed accurately and promptly. You will oversee and mentor our finance team, evaluate their performance, assist with audits, and uphold internal controls and policies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, assess, validate, and present financial data to illustrate the company's financial performance and position, enabling informed financial decisions.
  • Advise on forecasting needs, draft annual budgets, and manage expenditures to prepare periodic statements and comply with financial regulations.
  • Supervise a team of junior accountants, providing guidance and support.
  • Assist in cash flow management and review treasury cash summaries. Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Develop budgets, KPI reports, forecasts, and executive-level financial reports.
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries for various accounting areas, reviewing entries prepared by staff accountants and supporting the month-end closing process.
  • Conduct account reconciliations for various financial areas, ensuring accuracy in treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities.
  • Review subsidiary ledgers and other financial records.
  • Support the operations department with monthly commission calculations and other financial tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance within the finance function and promote collaboration across all departments.
  • Assist with finance-related ad-hoc assignments as required.
  • Help develop internal controls for all accounting processes.
  • Act as a liaison between accounting and external parties, including clients, suppliers, and lenders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is mandatory.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in audit and 1-2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage growth effectively.
  • Proactive mindset and a collaborative team player.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and standards.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning.
  • Detail-oriented with a flexible approach.
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Big4 or Mid-Tier firms is highly desirable but not essential.
  • An MBA in accounting or finance is advantageous but not required.
  • A CPA license is preferred but not mandatory.
