Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and diligent Associate Attorney to enhance our Tort & Catastrophic Loss practice group in our Walnut Creek office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture client relationships, providing legal counsel and representing clients in negotiations and court proceedings.
- Conduct thorough legal research, draft essential documents, and develop strategic approaches to effectively resolve cases.
- Communicate legal options and potential outcomes to clients, ensuring they are well-informed.
- Maintain a client-focused approach, ensuring responsiveness to client needs.
- Prepare legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and other necessary filings in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation and legal developments.
- Adhere to ethical standards and comply with all applicable laws.
- Collaborate with colleagues to devise effective case strategies.
- Exhibit strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Uphold confidentiality and protect client interests at all times.
- Engage in firm culture through participation in committees.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
- Strong analytical skills and a solid academic foundation.
- Proactive, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-driven and results-oriented with a proven track record of achieving billable hour targets.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to foster client relationships.
- Organized and effective in managing tasks.
- Proficient in technology and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.
