Early Childhood Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our division, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality educational program for preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities- Co-supervise the day-to-day operation of the children in a licensed day care facility environment, serving children aged 2-5 years.
- Plan curriculum and outdoor activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Assist in the supervision of practicum and field study students.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a child development team, with children, parents, staff members, and community representatives.
- Effective communication skills, both with children and adults.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a center-based environment.
- Familiarity with federal and state health safety regulations applicable to a child care facility.
- Thorough understanding of child development and the philosophy and methodology of early childhood education.
We offer a competitive salary range of $24.88-$28.27 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, sick and vacation time, retirement savings plans, and access to a number of discounts and perks.
