We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the University of California, Irvine's Infant Toddler Center. As a key member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for the supervision and care of 6 infants or 8 toddlers, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning practices that align with the University of California, Irvine's early childhood education standards.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment, ensuring the well-being of all children in our care.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, providing regular updates on children's progress and needs.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education and incorporating new ideas into our program.
- 6 units of Infant Toddler coursework
- Current California Child Development Program Teacher Permit
- Current First Aid/CPR certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent to a minimum of 2 years working in a center-based environment
- More than 6 units in Infant Toddler coursework
