KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Branch Manager oversees the comprehensive management of the banking center, focusing on meeting sales objectives; engaging in the promotion and delivery of all financial products offered by the institution; directing daily branch operations; addressing service-related challenges; fostering business growth for the Bank; and supervising the daily functions of branch staff.

This role is crucial in ensuring the branch provides outstanding customer service by facilitating account openings, addressing client inquiries, resolving service challenges, and offering guidance and training to branch personnel as needed. The Branch Manager holds ultimate accountability for the performance of the designated branch.

The responsibilities include:

  • Tracking overall branch productivity and progress towards performance targets
  • Coordinating sales initiatives and supporting Bank promotions within the branch
  • Reviewing daily transactions to ensure compliance with regulations set by government entities, regulatory agencies, and securities exchanges
  • Evaluating operations to identify opportunities for cost savings or program enhancements
  • Adhering to procedures for the custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to guarantee their safekeeping
  • Participating in all sales and product knowledge training and promotional meetings to stay informed on relevant issues
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of Bank policies and procedures
  • Executing tasks to address auditing requirements
  • Ensuring that all branch general ledger accounts are maintained and reviewed daily, and that cash balances are accurate
  • Engaging in activities to strengthen existing client relationships and to cultivate new ones
  • Training and keeping staff updated on operational matters
  • Managing weekly staff work schedules to meet business demands
  • Reviewing and approving completed timecards to ensure accurate recording of work hours
  • Maintaining and compiling attendance records for all branch employees
  • Conducting personnel actions including performance evaluations, disciplinary measures, and interviewing candidates for employment; overseeing the daily operations of the branch, including effective delegation of tasks, developing work schedules, and providing necessary training

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of four (4) years of work experience with progressive responsibilities, including management roles
  • At least one (1) year of banking or closely related financial services experience
  • Experience in Personal Banking/New Account and supervisory roles preferred
  • Understanding of bank operations and products
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Familiarity with federal and state consumer compliance laws
  • Ability to assess client needs and recommend suitable Bank products based on prior banking experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrated through previous customer interactions
  • Exceptional customer service abilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment for this position primarily include:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting
  • Frequent use of a computer, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
  • Occasional presentations requiring public speaking to small groups
  • Occasional lifting of office files or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs
  • Standard office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low noise levels
