Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer - Space Division SE&I Branch Manager

Leidos Dynetics is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to serve as the Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Branch Manager for the Space Division. As a key member of the Space Division team, you will be responsible for providing senior leadership and guidance to a talented group of systems engineers in the application of systems engineering to space projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior leadership for a talented group of systems engineers in the application of systems engineering to space projects
  • Mentor and guide systems engineers for improved understanding of systems engineering application and career development
  • Foster the implementation of creative solutions to in the execution of systems engineering for high reliability space systems
  • Ensure Identification, mitigation and resolution of risks across Space Division projects
  • Coordinate systems engineering across multiple civil and defense space projects
  • Manage section managers and branch staff
  • Conduct Branch and management staff meetings
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution with 15+ years or Master Degree with 12+ years applicable experience
  • Familiarity with CAMEO
  • Experience with system level requirements
  • Detailed understanding of the top-down systems engineering process for architecture development and bottoms-up verification
  • Demonstrates solid understanding and intuition of the functionality and interdependency of complex physical space systems
  • Experience applying systems engineering practices in flexible and creative ways to support aerospace programs with unique developmental constraints
  • Demonstrates solid understanding and intuition of the functionality and interdependency of aerospace systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work with the customer to clarify program challenges and/or system requirements
  • Experience working as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) or Systems Engineering team
  • Ability to stay focused and succeed in dynamic and fast paced environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Organizational skills to manage a Branch with multiple sections
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teammates and personnel
